Hello, my name is Oreo. Will you be my friend? I think I ask everyone I meet if they’ll be my friend because I want to be their friend. And it’s not just humans, I want to be friends with greyhounds and other dogs (one of my foster sisters isn’t a greyhound), and I want to be friends with the cats in my foster home too. I am pretty confident in new places and being around new people, and love to play with any toys humans say are ok. I think my favorite thing to do is play chase in a fenced-in yard with other dogs. But when play time is over I like to follow around the humans in my house to make sure they aren’t doing something fun without me. But if nothing fun is happening I will lay down for a rest.
I live with 4 other dogs, and 5 cats and we’re all good friends. I am really good at using stairs, but sometimes take my own time going up or down. I am fine walking on hard floors, and am a good boy when I need to get in a car for a ride. I like to jump up into the car when asked and lay down for most of the trip without making a fuss. I think car rides are a lot of fun! When it’s time to get in my crate I will listen and enter with no fuss and stay quiet during breakfast and dinner, when it’s bedtime at night, and when you leave for work. When I hear you arrive home, I do like to give you a reminder that I am still in my crate, just to make sure you don’t forget I’m in there and that I’d like to give you kisses and use the potty. I am pretty good about going potty outside, and will even potty when taken on a leash. I like to go for walks and am pretty good at using the leash.
I am a sweet easy-going, confident good boy who just wants to be friends with everybody.
