Player has come into retirement after 64 fast paced races around the oval.
I have to give much thanks to his first foster Mom. She did a greyt job getting him used to home life. She moved away so that is how he ended up with me.
Player has done greyt since he has come to my home in august. He has gotten along with the other greys in the house. He has tried taking a shoe, box, or plastic ware lid. He has done well giving them up when told. Trading a toy for what he is not suppose to have works if he does not want to give it up.
He loves attention and if given the chance would let you give him pets all day long.
We have been working on not giving hugs to all he meets. Player is roughly 90lbs. He has been doing very well not jumping up on people. The last meet & greet people were amazed how down to earth he has become. He has not tried giving hugs to guest that have come over to my home.
I use a 3 point harness with a leash that hooks to his collar and harness when we to out. I do that for me more than him needing it. He does well on car rides. He needs a running start to jump in my SUV.
In short, Player is an awesome boy.
He maybe best in a home with older children verses toddlers. Only because of his size. He knows his commands being he was prison trained. He can be a bit stubborn at times..when I have to leave for work…I toss a treat in his crate and he goes right in.
