Lue has hung up her muzzle after 31 wind blowing races. She is still new to us here at AFG and we are getting to know her better. Could this shy brindle bohemian beauty be the one for you?
Lue is an even-tempered little girl who takes a little bit to warm up at first. She might shy away from you initially, especially if you move quickly, but, once she is used to you, will come up for attention and pets. She will stand in front of you for as long as you keep petting her. She is a bit of a follower, mostly doing whatever the other dogs do, although she doesn’t seem to need to be near them. She could benefit from a second dog in the home, but it might not be mandatory.
Lue seems like she is super chill but she will get into little spurts of activity, trying to play with other hounds and squeaking toys. She can hear a squeaky from a mile away- sometimes we swear that she has robot ears. She will jog over and stare at the toy, not daring to take it away from her fellow dogs. Lue has a resting chill face and never seems excited, although she does love to play. The one thing she does love to do is redecorate her crate at night- moving around the blankets to form a blanket fort that she wants to change up every night. Who knew greyhounds were such wonderful interior designers!
Lue can be a bit shy in front of new people and in new settings, but she wants to do what you want her to do. She is good on leash and fine with the cats and other dogs. She loves to watch the cats play, but doesn’t go out of her way to chase them and doesn’t seem overly interested. She’s a wonderful, calm girl with a bit of a spunk when you least expect it.
