Poseidon just retired to AFG after 15 races! He did have an injury to a rear leg but seems to do very well on it now. He’s a new retiree we are still learning about. Could Poseidon be the hound for you??
Posy has been a joy to have around, although he has kept us on our toes. With him being on the younger side (just over 2 yrs) he has quite a bit of puppy in him. He’s very energetic at times so if you’re looking for that calmer, quieter grey he might not be the best choice. That being said once he’s out of his toddler stage he’ll settle in at being a great boy.
So far he’s been living the life of a criminal and stealing anything he can get his paws on. He hasn’t take much. Just some towels. And shoes. Slippers. My cell phone. Wire cutters. Paper towels. Pillows. Couch cushions. The beagle’s dog bed. We have informed his mom of this and currently waiting for a group intervention. Needless to say he is in the toddler stage and if he’s interested in it then it will likely end up in his mouth. He doesn’t seem to want to kill everything he gets, but he enjoys the thrill of stealing what he can. Otherwise he’s very much into toys so with some instructions on what’s okay and not okay to take he’ll be fine. Just be patient with him!
We are still getting to know him as he hasn’t been in our home that long. For the short time we’ve had him we have enjoyed it thourghly. Right now we’re getting a better feel on how he shares his space with others. He didn’t do fantastic at his first meet & greet, but in the home we haven’t had any issues at all in our pack. While he is very much an outgoing dog his new family will need to give him time to adjust and let him have his space. If you’re wanting to experience the joys of having a greyhound and (for some weird reason) a large puppy he’s a good boy to consider. He will be a fantastic family dog for someone.
