Mara just retired to AFG after 6 races. She is a new retiree we are still retiring about. Could Mara be the hound for you??
Mara is such an amazing girl. We are so happy to have her hanging out with us while she is waiting to find her forever home. She is just such a lover. She loves hugs, pets and belly rubs. She loves her foster brother and sister and plays very well with them. She loves squeaky toys and will play with them by herself by tossing them in the air and catching them. She prances around like a little deer, she’s got a lot of bounce in her step and it’s super adorable to watch her run around and play. She will play fetch and actually bring the ball back! You can mostly find Mara roaching literally anywhere! She does enjoy any form of bed she can lay on but she will also roach while she in on the floor. She would LOVE to be on the couch with you if you would allow it. She isn’t currently allowed on the couch but she would definitely curl up next to you on the bed or couch. She doesn’t mind being manipulated to do things like cleaning her paws, trimming her nails, etc. She knows when it is time to settle and will go lay down on command. She picks up on stuff really quickly but she is still super curious and will for sure be into everything when she first arrives. She is just so fascinated by all of the new things that she hasn’t seen before but she is learning “no” and “leave it.” Mara is just an all around awesome dog, it’ll be hard for us to see her go because she is just so much fun.
