Hi everyone! My name is Laurette and my favorite things are pets, snuggles, treats, and walks. I’m a laid-back, quirky, affectionate girl. I am a big chatterer and I will chatter my big adorable overbite when I get pets or attention or get excited about something fun like dinner or walks. I love to go for walks and I am a very good girl on the leash. Even though I’m pretty chill, I think with practice I would do well as a jogging or hiking partner since I love walking so much. I do love attention, but I know how to go lay down and entertain myself. I like to play with toys, soft toys or bones I like them all.
I live with several dogs, greyhounds and non-greyhounds. While I play and zoom with anyone who wants to, my best friends are the other two lady dogs in the house (a greyhound and a lab mix). We like to wander around the yard and play together. I like the other dogs and everything, but have no problem doing my own thing and would be happy with a friend (of any breed) or as an only dog. I also live with several crazy cats. I do get curious about them sometimes and will let you know if they are playing hide and seek under things, but I want them to be my friend and am nice to them. My foster brother is a bad influence on me and if he chases a kitty, I might join in. I am realizing this is boring and gets me in trouble so I mostly ignore him. Even though I haven’t spent much time with little humans, I’m so easy going I think I would be just fine with some little human friends. They like to give pets right?
I have learned house rules pretty quickly. I am good with stairs and smooth floors. I have not had any potty accidents in the house. I sleep quietly in my crate in the bedroom at night and I go into the crate if you need to leave. I do appreciate a treat if you are going to leave me. I sometimes fuss a little bit when you leave, but if you give me a firm “quiet” I will stop. I get better at this every day. I love adventures and jump right into the car. I get a little excited when we start car rides and whine a little, but I typically sleep all the way home. I’m a good girl when you clean my ears, brush my teeth or trim my nails. Even though I’m still learning all the rules, I’m very easy to correct. I want to make my people happy.
