Minnie has been returned to AFG for a second time through no fault of her own after being in a home for several years. She is a sweet, sometimes spunky, petite gal (less than 50 lbs) that turned 9 years old April 6th of this year. Prior to being returned, she lived in a only dog household for several years. She would do well as a only dog or in a home with others, however, she does tend to find the crazy antics of the other 4 greys in the foster home mildly annoying at times. She does great with the 2 cats in her foster home. When she was returned to AFG, she did have some skin issues and after retrieving her previous medical records and living in a foster home for a bit, we realized there was a problem going on that ended up being a bit beyond what a general practitioner veterinarian could diagnose so Minnie requested she go to a dermatologist. After a consultation with the specialist, she was put on a special prescription diet food and after 3 months, she is now doing really great. her hair is growing back and was diagnosed with having a food allergy. This means that Minnie can ONLY eat the special diet. Even if she drinks out of the same water bowl as another dog there is a risk for contamination or eats a morsel of food off the floor that is not her diet, it can cause a flare up so she will need a home that is willing to be very strict about her diet. If your looking for a tiny little lady that just needs a little TLC
