Arielle just retired to AFG after 149 races! She’s a new retiree we are still learning about. Could Arielle be the hound for you??
Arielle is a sweet spunky gal! She doesn’t act her age, and loves to be active. She will happily run laps in the yard (even in the snow) and toss her stuffies around all day. Once she’s worn herself out with playing, then she’s up for some serious cuddles and naps. Arielle is uncrated during the day and so has gotten into the couch habit while foster mom is out and can’t correct her :-/ … the good thing to come out of this is that she’s a great cuddle buddy and hasn’t had any observed sleep startle. She’s a super-velcro girl, and when she turns her big brown eyes on you, it’s plain to see she thinks you’ve hung the moon and stars.
She currently lives with two cats and another greyhound and does well with both.
She can become possessive of her toys when the other animals are around, but with some training she has already improved.
Arielle is uncrated during the day and hasn’t shown any behavioral issues like chewing or having accidents.
I believe she would do best with another dog at home with her though, as she seems to panic when left completely on her own.
