Hello everyone my name is Jimmy. My favorite things are food, snuggles, soft beds, and other dogs. I’m an affectionate, friendly, calm guy. Sometimes new things make me a little nervous, but my curiosity takes over and I have to check it out. Even if I’m a little unsure, I do it anyway. I am not a Velcro dog, I just like to supervise what you are doing sometimes and need to make sure that you aren’t doing anything fun without me. I love to snuggle. I’m not allowed on the furniture at my foster home, but would love to get up there and snuggle you. I’m still figuring out toys, but I like soft things. I was a little confused when I first went into foster care, but now that I figured out how fun it is, I’m becoming more and more outgoing every day.
I enjoy going for walks and do pretty well on the leash. I barely pull and don’t get distracted (even by other animals). I do well in the car, but need more practice getting in. I am excellent in my crate and it’s okay if you have to leave me at home. I’m a pretty chill dude and I really don’t mind if you brush my teeth, cut my nails, or clean my ears. I only go potty outside, although I sometimes forget the deck doesn’t count as outside for some reason. Stairs and smooth floors are no problem for me. I do love food and will go into my crate when I even think it is time for dinner. I am very easy to correct and quickly learned NO, LEAVE IT, crate, and go to your bed. I’m pretty smart and eager to please so I could learn lots of stuff if you want to teach me. I don’t have any food, toy, or space issues. I do like to snuggle the other dogs sometimes.
I live with several other dogs (greyhounds and not greyhounds) and they are all great. I love to play with other greyhounds and am great friends with the lab mix that lives here and the golden doodle that comes over to play. We like to run around in the yard together and play in the pool. I love to play in the pool. It would be fun to live with another dog friend, but I would be okay as an only dog too. I also live with these scary fur monsters called cats. I was very concerned about them at first, and while I still don’t trust them, I guess they are okay. If you have some that’s fine, I will just ignore them. I am very gentle with little humans and like them to give me pets.
