Art has come to AFG with no registered races to his name. He is still new to an early retirement and we are getting to know him better. Could this young handsome red head be the one for you?
Art is a bouncy happy boy! He’s a generally happy-go-lucky dude who wants to engage with his people, getting pets, hugs, or play. He likes to play with toys on his own and can amuse himself for a while, but he also likes to play with his people, by bowing and lightly nibbling on arms or fingers, depending on what he can get his mouth on!
He gets along well with the other dog in the house, as well as the cats in his foster home. He can be a little too intense with the cats, trying to play with them as if they were also dogs, but he corrects well and is learning to be more gentle.
There have been no observed occurrences of spacial issues with Art, he’s generally the one to try to sneak onto the other dog’s bed and share space with them!
His previous injury doesn’t seem to phase him, and you probably wouldn’t notice a difference in his behavior or use of it. Except that when he wants to go fast he still picks up that back leg to hop along faster on the other three. Continued walking and exercise will be good to keep up the strength of this leg.
He’s very affectionate, loving and playful. He seems generally ready to take on new adventures and explore any new place or person he comes in contact with!
