Buoy has hung up his muzzles after 19 amazing races. He is still new to us here at AFG and we are getting to know him better. Could this snuggly hard body be the one for you?
Buoy (pronounced boy) is a sweet, loving greyhound. Buoy looks like a combination of a lab and a greyhound with his bushy tail, but he’s a gentle giant. Buoy is the definition of velcro and would love nothing more than to follow you around from room to room. He’s a great kitchen helper, watching to make sure you’re following that recipe correctly. He will lay at your feet wherever you go just in case you happen to give him pets.
Buoy gets along well with all of our other animals. He mostly ignores the cats except to watch them do their evening zoomies. He will play with the other dogs, but respects their boundaries. He is definitely more human-driven, preferring to be with his people over playing with the other hounds. Buoy is well-behaved, but takes a little to learn new things as he is not the smartest hound. However, he makes up for it with affection and love in spades.
Buoy is great on leash, pottying when let out and not pulling. Even though he’s huge (around 90 lbs), he is very laidback, so is easy to handle on and off leash. He’s calm in basically all situations and isn’t easily scared. If you’re looking for a sweet, giant boy with all of the love to give, consider Buoy!
