Hi my name is Mark!!! Once I get over my initial excitement of being in a new place, I’m an easy going guy who is happy all the time. I really like to snuggle. I’ll snuggle people and other dogs, but I still haven’t convinced the kitties to snuggle me. I also like to give kisses. I’m not much of a licker, more of a wet nose to the cheek kind of guy. Since I also chatter when I give you kisses my foster mom calls them chatter boops. I love lots of love, but I’m not needy. When I first entered my foster home I was pretty easily excited, but now I have embraced the retired lifestyle and calmed down a lot. So when I am VERY excited to meet you at my in-home, I promise I’ll settle down quickly. But don’t worry, I’m not lazy (except after 10 pm when I turn into a potato). I love to play with toys, play with other dogs (any dog will do), do zoomies in the yard, and go for walks. I really like walks and I’m a good boy on the leash. However, I also appreciate a good nap or to lay in the bed and chew a bone. I love bones, but I’m a really good chewer so will need strong toys.
I live with multiple other dogs (greyhounds and non-greyhounds) and I really like all of them. I will play with any of the dogs that will play or do zoomies with me. I do like the other dogs, but am pretty independent and don’t need to follow them all the time. I also live with some crazy kitties and I really LOVE the kitties. I am very gentle with them. I like to say hello to the kitties when I can with a gentle sniff. They don’t seem to mind and one of them will play with me sometimes. But I understand cat boundaries and if they make the angry noises I leave them alone.
I’m a good boy who doesn’t potty in the house, only plays with my own toys (although apparently I’m not allowed to play with cat toys). I have to admit, I really like coffee and will try to steal a sip if you are not watching. I don’t mind if you clean my ears, mess with my feet, or brush my teeth. I’m good in my crate both during the day and I sleep in a crate in the bedroom at night. I will let out a little bark when you get home to remind you to let me out, but only for a second. I also sometimes like to bark when playing in the yard, but I’m quiet in the house.
