Iggy just retired to AFG after 30 quick races. She danced her way into motherhhood and raised a litter of pups. She is still new to us here at AFG and we are getting to know her better. Could that all around awesome lady be the hounds for you?
Iggy has an arsenal of toys! She has an affection for muzzles and has sent one poor sad Narwhal beyond repair. Iggy is a busy girl and has things to accomplish in her retirement. When she does find the dog bed, it is exclusively used to recharge those Iggy batteries. It will never be a dull moment with Iggy in the house. 🙂
Iggy is a very fun, inquisitive gal! She is also a real trooper after months of bandage changes and follow ups with a veterinarian from what was suspected to be a nasty spider bite shortly after coming to AFG. She was absolutely incredible for her daily (and at times, twice a day) bandage changes and always took her medications like a champ! She also enjoyed grabbing some of the bandaging materials behind her foster moms back and taking off through the house with them (unrolling full rolls of white roll gauze through half the house was her favorite) All she has left is a scar on her right rear hock. She is a dog that really is up for just about anything and will jump in with all 4 paws! Her tail is almost always wagging when she is awake. She loves hanging out and playing with the other greyhounds in the home. She has been mellowing out a lot the last few weeks and is really getting the idea of what retirement life is all about.
We have been working on house training (urinary) and have been making remarkable improvements! I am thrilled with how well she has been doing!
