Happy has retired to AFG after a whopping 259 races!! He’s a new retiree we are still learning about. Could Happy be the hound that your couch is longing for?
Happy is a sweet, friendly, playful hound who loves to give and receive affection. He likes to give kisses and rub his face into you to get pets. He gets along great with strangers, children, dogs (greys & non-greys) and cats. He is really interested in what the other dogs are doing and would like to play with them, but can’t quite figure out how. I think he’d be okay as an only dog, but might like a two or four legged friend. The cats are curious about him and will often sniff and poke at him, but he is very gentle with them and tolerates their shenanigans. Happy is excellent on a leash. He walks right beside you and shows no interest in distractions (e.g. squirrels, other dogs, bicycles etc.). He does well in his crate after a small bribe to get inside. He has had no accidents in the house or in his crate. He has only gone potty on the lead once, so he might need a fenced in yard. He can be a little sneaky, especially if food is involved, so he needs a home that will enforce the rules. Happy is a great mix between being a laid-back guy, while still being very affectionate and playful. If you want a greyt walking and snuggle buddy, Happy might be the dog for you.
