This bouncy boy didn’t race but is still ready for retirement. He is very sweet and affectionate, wanting to be around his people and cuddle all the time.
Trip is a lanky boy with a huge heart! This boy would like nothing more than to pet your lap buddy. He will lean against you getting pets for hours but will also climb into your lap and give you his paws so that you can trim his nails. He’s always happy, ready and willing to do whatever his people want him to do.
Trip is very eager to please, but is not the sharpest tool in the shed. He really does want to listen, but sometimes forgets or needs you to tell him a couple of times for it to really be understood. Once he finally gets it, he gets it though! Mostly. He really does try hard.
Trip loves his people. He is fine being crated while you’re gone, but gets a little confused if you leave the room. He’ll look down the stairs, at different doors, and through different windows to figure out where you’re gone, eagerly anticipating your return. He might whine or bark a little bit when you leave, but settles down quickly and happily chews on his nylabone until his people are back. He really loves his people.
Trip gets along well with all of the animals in the house. He wants to cuddle and play with the other dogs, not understanding why they don’t want him to snuggle. But he never gets upset if they say no. He also thinks the cats are fascinating and enjoys watching them but is fine with all of them in the house. His happy-go-lucky submissive personality make him easy to get along with. He doesn’t seem to need other animals though- while he does love to lean on them, he’s happy to just be with his people, too. He will play with toys on his own, creating his own entertainment.
Trip is a sweet boy who makes up for his lack of brain cells with all of his happiness and joie de vivre. If you are looking for a friendly, confident snuggle bug, Trip might be the one for you!
