Hi my name is Flynn. I’m a sweet, friendly guy looking for a forever home. I’m pretty laid back, but do have short adorable moments of excitement when something really fun happens like dinner or a walk or a favorite toy comes out. Sometimes I even get so happy I smile. I’m really affectionate to everyone (even strangers) and love to lean in for a pet or scratch. I would love someone to snuggle. I get along great with the other pets in my foster home. I really like other dogs and don’t care if they are greyhounds or not. I even don’t mind the kitties that live with me. I gave them some gentle sniffs when I first got here, but now I pretty much ignore them even though they sprint around the house like crazy little monsters. I like playing with toys (especially Kongs, bones, and squeaky ones), going for walks, napping in a soft bed and just getting pets.

I am very good at stairs and riding in the car. I am pretty good on a leash. I get a little excited for the first minute or two and then I’m calm. I never get upset about people being near my food or toys or in my space. I may try to snuggle with your dog, but if they aren’t interested I’ll find my own space. Now that I figured out how to ask, I always go potty outside. I don’t mind having my nails trimmed, and I’m a very good boy in the bath. I really like being brushed. Sometimes I need some tasty encouragement to go in my crate, but once I’m in there I don’t complain. I am eager to please and I listen well when someone lets me know what I am not allowed to do.

I did get an injury in my back leg while racing that made my gait a little off. This is barely noticeable and doesn’t stop me from running, doing stairs, or playing. It doesn’t get worse or sore when I play and I’ve done some serious zoomies at my foster home. I do take glucosamine for it, and now it’s even better. You probably won’t even notice it, I don’t.

Are you looking for a gentle, calm, quiet, snuggle bug? I might be the right dog for your home.
