Conan retired to AFG after 144 races and after graduating from The Greyhound Inmate Experience. Conan has recently been returned to AFG through no fault of his own. He is on the lookout for a new home to kick his feet up.
Conan was returned through no fault of his own. He has adjusted well to our home and we’ve had no issues with him. Although he is a seriously laid back guy he can be quick on his feet despite his age and size. He would do great with kids but sometimes he forgets how big he is and can be a bull in a China shop when he’s all worked up. He has a big heart and is super loving, and doesn’t take a lot of effort to please him. Given all that has been thrown at him he has been steady and hasn’t been phased by much of anything. Conan is more of the quiet companion type. He is happy to go on walks, but not in a hurry to go adventuring through the Rocky Mountains. If you enjoy the type of hound that is more of a speed bump in your house on most days then this is the guy for you. Don’t let his age fool you – he can still rip around and keep up with the young ones, so it isn’t all lazy days with him. Conan really is a good all-around hound that won’t take a lot of effort to care for, but he will return the favor ten-fold with his love.
