- Morticia is waiting for her new forever (Addams) family. This spunky little one has character in spades. She raced in with 94 runs from Wheeling and is looking forward to retirement!
Hi my name is Morticia. I don’t know about mysterious or spooky, but I’m definitely a kooky girl. I love to play. I really like every kind of toy and doing zoomies in the yard (maybe sometimes in the living room). My favorite is the Kong that I like to throw across the room for myself. I am an affectionate girl that likes snuggles, pets, and kisses. Even though I’m not allowed in my foster home, I would really love to get on the furniture and snuggle, but snuggles on the floor are great too. I can be a little skeptical of new situations and people but after about 30 seconds of getting to know you we can be best friends. Once I’m comfortable nothing really phases me and I’m open to trying new things and having adventures. I really like food and eating, so I will definitely try to get you to share with me. My foster parents have been trying to use this to teach me tricks, but I have trained them to give me a treat anyway. I am a bit sassy.
I live with other greyhounds and a lab mix and we all get along great. I love to race around with everyone in the yard. I can be a little grumpy if a dog touches me or my bed while I’m resting. But I love to play with them and follow them around. I do have a little bit of fear of missing out and need to make sure they aren’t having any fun without me. I also live with some kitties. I was very curious about the kitties at first, but now they are pretty boring. Every once in a while, I’ll give them a hello sniff but they don’t want to play and aren’t any fun so I don’t know why they keep them around. I think I would do okay with older little humans. I can be sensitive about some places I am pet and my space. I think I would love an older kid who would play with me.
Although I do like to borrow l things that aren’t mine (I’m particularly fond of my foster mom’s watch), I am overall a very good girl. I have figured out this potty outside situation. I am good with stairs and smooth floors. I’m a good girl in the car. I’m pretty good on the leash, it’s been a bit cold for me to get lots of practice and I’m not the biggest fan of a coat. Sometimes I need a little convincing (or a bribe) to go into my crate but will go in on my own and be a good girl while you leave. But when people get home, sometimes I am so happy to see them that I sing to be let out.
I’m a bit of a quirky, sassy, maybe a little mischievous girl who loves to play and snuggle. If you are looking for a sweet little weirdo I could be the hound for you.
